Synthetic Wig Care Instructions

Congratulations on your purchase of a synthetic wig! While your wig may look and feel just like human hair, it is important to use products and techniques intended for synthetic hair only. Remember most synthetic wigs are sensitive to direct heat and should never come in contact with hot styling tools. Nowadays it is common to see premium synthetic wigs that can withstand high temperatures for styling. We advise to always test the wig first in an inconspicuous area such as underneath in the back before applying any heat to the wig.

*For sanitation reasons, it is unlawful to return or exchange any wigs, clip-ins, or hairpieces. Due to the nature of our products, we will not return or exchange any open, worn, or otherwise used merchandise.

General Care

  • Store your wig on a wig stand, or in its box, in a cool, dry place away from dust or extreme temperatures.
  • Do NOT use Human hair products on Synthetic wigs. Synthetic wigs have a SPECIFIC Shampoo (cleaner) and Silicone conditioner which can be purchased only at wig stores.
  • Brush your wig often (unless it’s curly!) and always start at the bottom and work your way to the top in a consistent, downward motion.
  • Make a couple of big braids or wrap the hair when going to sleep, swim, or exercise. *NEVER SLEEP ON WET OR LOOSE HAIR. Make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed.
  • Curly hair textures are best styled with your fingers or a wide tooth comb/pick. To “reset” the curl pattern, usually a wash and the help of a detangling oil or conditioner will revive the curls.

Washing/Conditioning

  • Gently detangle the hair using a wig brush or a wide tooth comb. (You can spray your silicone leave-in conditioner as you de-tangle the hair)
  • We recommend washing your wig once a month or every 8-10 wears.
  • Fill your sink with lukewarm water, add four-five drops of the cleaner into the sink and mix it in with the water. Then gently submerge the wig into the sink starting from bottom to top. Swoosh it in and out of the water 5-6 times (if you have your wig parted in a specific direction or side, hold on to it and never let it go while washing.) Drain out the dirty water.
  • Finger comb wet hair from the bottom to top using gentle downward strokes one section at a time. Never begin combing at the top or middle and always comb down.
  • Gently pat dry with a towel. Now you can spray your leave-in silicone conditioner throughout the wig. For best results, allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand. This will preserve the shape of your wig.
